This is a Rare Shoulder Patch, featuring the distinctive Star with Indian Head Insignia as used by the US 2nd Infantry Division, AEF (American Expeditionary Forces) in 1917 – 1918 France. The 2nd Infantry was actually organized in France by units from the United States Army, Navy and Marines. I have not been able to find out much about this color design / combination.
